Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman told media this Morning that the increase in the TDA Gang was “….not their problem”. Despite the allegations of gang violence, Coffman said Aurora is a safe city and “this is a very isolated problem.”
Two very inaccurate statements! It IS the problem of city officials. They may not have invited the problem directly but it’s still their problem!
This is NOT an isolated problem! This criminal organization has been identified in several cities across the U.S. and are responsible for several home invasions, violent crimes, and human trafficking / smuggling.
I’m frustrated with Mr. Coffman for minimizing the impact this Gang is having on the community (we aren’t dumb and many are living in fear for their families). He spent this time pointing fingers of responsibility and not reassuring the community that City officials had a plan and were aggressively pursuing a safer future. Mike, I know you can do better in reassuring the community and I know steps are being taken to address these problems!
Again, the failed open border policies welcoming this here in Denver has allowed and harvested the criminal element to thrive.
