Aurora Police Gang unit Shoot Jor Dell Richardson – part 1

Aurora Police Sergeant with the gang unit observed a robbery in progress involving several males wearing face coverings. As the males, who were later identified as juveniles, ran from the scene, a couple jumped back into a stolen vehicle that they were in and the others ran on foot. During this brief foot pursuit, one of the males, 14 year old Jor’Dell Richardson allegedly pulled out a gun while being pursued on foot and was shot in the stomach, where he subsequently died from those injuries.
In this two part series, James Allbee met with Tayla Cunningham with Fox 31-Denver to review the body worn cameras and discuss the decisions to pursue and ultimately use deadly force.
